Reverse-Engineering a Life: How to Find the Hidden Logic in Your Story

There’s a fundamental difference between writing a novel and writing a memoir. A novelist is an architect, building a world from a blank page. A memoirist is a reverse engineer with a finished, complex, and often broken machine.
